2. General information
Taylor Wimpey plc is a company incorporated in the United Kingdom under the Companies Act 1985. The address of the registered office is given in Principal Operating Addresses. The nature of the Group's operations and its principal activities are set out in note 4 and in the Chief Executive's Review.
These financial statements are presented in pounds sterling because that is the currency of the primary economic environment in which the Group operates. Foreign operations are included in accordance with the policy set out in Notes to the Consolidated Financial Statements.
